North West meet

Emily PM'd me yesterday asking when we are having a meet again.

Well i was thinking a main one in December (people come up with ideas) possibly Trafford Center Manchester (parking Free) must be aware a friend had a mitsubishi FTO meet and aparently were moved away, or Liverpool Docks(Depending on parking fees).

Or just a pub/resaurant for meal, drinks and a chat :!:

Due to this being a busy time for many people and fuel costs, road conditions, if this isn't possible a mini meet for local members maybe an idea.

This could happen before/after Sheffield depending on peoples views.

Surely if you have it before the Sheffield meet, it will put people going to that one.

I think the Sheffield meet is much more important to attend, even though it seems there has been little interest in it on the forums.

It would be a better idea to get more people to attend that one to support the people that run this site, Jody and Sue.

We could always meet before that event for a chat etc and then have drinks and food after.

All being well i shall be going to Sheffield, as long as my driving ban has been lifted before then (Please note not a revoked licence) i can't drive my car legally until the DVLA send out a new V5 so i can tax the car, then apply again for my number plate transfer.

As myself and Danny have offered, i can accommodate 4people and i think Danny 1, for attending sheffield, which should help for local people to save on fuel costs, all club together for fuel then the rest of the money which would have been spent on fuel and tax +VAT, goes to Jody and sues charity STEPS and Jerry's chosen charity Macmillan cancer relief.

I was just wondering if the locals and others wanted another meet in the north west before/after and sheffield.

Such as Emily, James (Jimbo) ,Andy C2, Jerry and other wishing to have one.

Well it will have to be saturday/sunday or a friday afternoon for the main meet, unless we arrange for this to be a mini meet for a couple of hours or so. meal/drinks.

All members are welcome even non locals, so come on peeps give me an idea who is interested.

I may even get some C2 t-shirts from citroen for prize who has the cleanest car after the drive and best christmas decorated car. time will be allowed to prepare.

As well as a presentation of champagne/flowers for Emily as congratulation on passing her driving test :!:

It's November 26th and it is a charity event too, Sue (the boss's wife) is doing a bungee jump for 2 charities and all members are welcome to take part or just watch if you wish, We may then have drinks and lunch etc ;)

Considering weather conditions we do not want to be too far from the M6 and being the time of year as jerry and danny have suggested and all agreed, we want the meet to be away from busy city's.

I suggest possibly meet up at a service station and go for a drive then onto to a pub for a meal.

If people want to, we could go to the secret bunker at hack green which was suggested at the last meet in cheshire.

The sheffield meet is the most important meet coming up, so i don't wish to put people off that so if we can arrange a north west meet it shall be in December or in the new year.

Well i think we shall have to wait until the new year for an official meet, like our last cheshire meet, with christmas and new year coming up, members having to spend time christmas shopping and with family/friends.

However if any members wish to meet up for a drink/meal im sure this can be arranged if we work something out between ourselves.

I am available Monday-Thursday after 3pm, Friday's after 1:30pm and most weekends.

reebok stadium is just off the m62 and you can easily access the jjb from the m6 both are signposted nicely incase you cant see the big building you are heading for :D

Stoke has a Freeport outlet i think as well as Festival park, Crewe now has a Bowling Venue,

Big signs are best. And also remembering the difference between NORTH and SOUTH. Basically M6 J19, turn West towards Chester on A556 and it's about 10 miles or so, just after the A49 crossroads (where there's a Shell petrol station with loos, and a good pub just down the road too...)

Hi people just read my text from Emily telling me to get online,so here i am, wow 7-8 people is a jump in a week.

Delamere Forest is the main venue so far. Went for a drive with my fathers mate this afternoon after taking him out for his christmas lunch, We found the forest and its £2 for the car park.(all day)

Who has heard of the Mouldworth motor museum? this is a few miles from the forest. however it doesn't re-open until february which is a downer unless people can hold on for another couple of weeks.

If you all can't wait and still wish to make the Saturday 14th January a final date at the forest for a few hours of meets greets and a walk around the forest Then off for a pub lunch for a warm, this can be arranged!

Please let me know for definates if you are coming and if possible a contact telephone number via PM. for arrangements and organisational purposes.

Remember this is the same format as the cheshire meet a peacefull, NO loud stereo's/ engine revving etc. event.

Lets make this a brilliant and smooth running event. i shall keep checking in when i can over the next couple of weeks. will be back on the 9th regular cos im back in work then LOL

It was extremely busy today, probably because of it being new years day and it being 3 o'clock when i went. so sooner we get there on the day teh less stressful it will be lol.

Who's meeting at Lymm? I wasn't planning to cos it's two sides of a triangle for me - up from 18 to 20 then back down to 19 again, when I could just head west from 18. But if there's a few there I might be persuaded LOL!

At around 250 miles, I don't think I'll be making a day trip.
