I have just passed my test and hoping to buy a furio in the near future. I am wondering whether or not to get a sensodrive, as I want to drive manuals in the future and was thinking maybe i should buy a manual whilst the technique (cant think of a word) is still fresh. should I ?
Just one other thing is sensodive fully or semi-auto ?
Cheers :) Danny
Sensoshyte is semi-auto and extremely crap, in my opinion.
Only way to know is try both before you buy.

No to senso. Gear changes take forever, and the 2nd hand sell-on price is much lower for the sensodrive. Not to mention the troubles people have had with them.
Manual all the way

Mine is a Sensodrive Furio 1.4i, but I am 33 and have had plenty of experience with Manuals.(Just a lazy git now lol)
I had a few problems at the beginning but once the software upgrade was done, fine now.
Gear changes are as quick in the Sensodrive as the Manual (if you drive it correctly and in Manual mode)
Auto mode is there for easy and smoother changes and it helps the fuel economy.
But I have voted MANUAL, due to you need to learn the concept of gear changes and clutch control better. Then have fun with Sensodrive or Auto.

manual for me too :)
Senso all the way, try one out before you get a manual - then at least you can make your opinion and not others who have never have the pleasure :)

used the senso in a 1007 when friend had one home from work, hated it, the double hit kick down is cool but still can't beat a manual and good old dropping down the gears with a clutch from high speed.

yeah but you stick it in auto all the time don't you??
Sensodrive is so awesome on the track too, both hands on the wheel at all times :)

senso for me, borrowed a c1 manual for 24 hours and i couldnt wait to get back to my c2 senso. I guess its down to personal choice.
Although what i would say is if you've just passed your test go manual and get the experience built up before switching over to an Auto/Sensodrive :)

dont like the paddles drove the new Civic with the paddles call it what u want a hink its pish
As Ive said before. 15 extra bhp wont take 2 seconds off the 0-60...
Q. ...so why does the VTR do 0-60 in 10ish secs, while the VTS is 8ish?
A. Coz of the gearbox

manual, end of.
Defo manual, I had a VTR and at first I kind of liked it, it was something new, a bit of a novelty! Well after a few months I hated it, it used to occasionally jolt and thrust back and forward for no reson, even in fully auto.
I than had do what I knew was right, and buy a vts! I now love driving again!

Only test drove the senso and thought it felt like I was waiting for something
to happen. Then tested the VTS and had to get one.
Stick up

Manual all the way, sensoguff is just a gimmick!
Whats the point of working hard to get a manual licence just to buy a (semi) automatic car?!?
I test drove a GT before buying my VTR and I hated the way the revs stayed high even when you took your foot off the gas and pushed down the clutch, was very strange!
